Memphis Kids to Receive Free Back Packs at Operation Safe Streets

July 26 event will have free food and music

July 9, 2014 (Memphis, TN) – Ambassadors of Memphis has announced its 2014 summer program, the Operation Safe Streets for Kids Back Pack Giveaway. This event, which is free of cost, will be held at the Ed Rice–Frayser Community Center on July 26.
“This is a special day that the kids look forward to socializing and enjoying giveaways and entertainment, completely free of cost, with the love and support of the community as they get ready to go back to school,” said Angela Green, Board Chairman. 
This is the final summer party for children in the community preparing to start the new school year. Among the festivities will be food and back pack giveaways, with music from DJ Fen, Dulaa and others. The program is scheduled to run from 10:30am to 1:30pm.
The Kids Back Pack Giveaway is presented by Ambassadors of Memphis in association with Ed Rice Community Center, Positioned For Millions and Rangeline Neighborhood CDC. The event has received support from the Memphis Police Foundation, Cynthia Scales Hill - AllState Insurance, The Green Law Firm, True Authority Church International, Holy Calling Fellowship Church, Charity Christian Community Church, Representative Karen Camper, Frayser Neighborhood Council, and Prayer Garden of Memphis.

Grammy Winning Amir Windom to Host A Positioning Informational Chat


Music executive to talk about work on Pharrell’s ‘Happy’ and other career successes


 July 7, 2014 (Memphis, TN) – Grammy Award winning music executive Amir Windom is scheduled to host ‘A Positioning Informational Chat’, an event to share his insights into the music business. The celebrated record executive will appear at Cooper Walker Place, in Memphis, Tennessee on July 31, to talk about his musical exploits which include an Oscar nomination for his role on the mega-hit song ‘Happy’ performed by Pharrell Williams.

 “I am really looking forward to sharing my experiences with artists and musicians, and hopefully they can learn something from that experience that they can use to help their music crossover successfully into the TV and film industry,” said Amir.

Amir will share stories of how he broke into the business, the challenges he faced, and give advice on how to position music for television and film placement. He will also answer questions from the audience and talk about his numerous musical successes which include work on developing or managing careers of some of today’s biggest stars such as the band “Fun”, T.I., Bruno Mars, Lupe Fiasco, Madonna, B.o.B, Trey Songz and Kanye West among others. Attendees also have the opportunity for direct feedback on their music by booking a one-on-one song critique session with Amir.
 A Positioning Informational Chat with Amir Windom is scheduled to start at 6p.m. and is produced in collaboration with Positioned for Millions. The program is sponsored by the Green Law Firm and Rated Hood Entertainment. Tickets cost $25.
